Chris Walklate has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Chris started their career at NFU Mutual in 2004 as a Customer Liaison Assistant, where they worked with the complaints department. Chris then joined Skandia in 2006 as a Broker Consultant, providing support to IFAs and driving sales processes. In 2010, Chris worked at Lloyds Banking Group as a Mortgage Adviser, advising clients on mortgage and protection products. Chris later joined NFU Mutual again in 2011, initially as a Customer Relationship Technician, handling customer complaints, and then as an Investment Fund and Proposition Analyst, where they designed process guides. Chris joined Wesleyan in 2014 as a Proposition Manager, overseeing projects such as implementing a new Point of Sale system. Chris then progressed to become the Senior Product Manager, responsible for strategic developments in the retirement and investment funds portfolios. Currently, Chris holds the position of Lead Product and Proposition Manager at Wesleyan, leading the product and proposition team and focusing on strategic development and customer experience.

Chris Walklate attended Woodrush High School and 6th Form College from 1996 to 2002. During this time, they obtained A Levels in Geography, Business Management, Chemistry, English Language, and IT. After completing their A Levels, Chris went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Business Management at Aston University from 2002 to 2006.

In terms of additional certifications, Chris obtained the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 certification in February 2019 from CITY AND GUILDS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED. In November 2012, they obtained the Prince 2 Practitioner certification. Furthermore, Chris also holds certifications in Financial Planning, Mortgage Advice, and a Diploma in Financial Planning, all issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), although the specific months and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
