Graeme Thompson

Graeme Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Graeme is currently working as a Senior Project Manager and IT Delivery Lead at Wesleyan since July 2022. Prior to this, Graeme worked at the Office for National Statistics, where they held multiple roles. Graeme was the Head of Cloud Migration on a temporary promotion from December 2021 to July 2022, and before that, they worked as an Information Technology Project Manager from October 2016 to December 2021.

Before joining the Office for National Statistics, Graeme worked at Dynniq Peek Traffic as a Project Manager. Graeme first served as the NRTS National New Works Manager (Program Manager) from February 2016 to October 2016, where they were responsible for planning, delivering, and closing out telecommunications-based projects. Graeme ensured that the projects were completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the contract requirements. Later, they held the position of Project Manager Infra Coms from August 2014 to February 2016. In this role, Graeme ensured the operational delivery of the Infra Comms project portfolio and provided effective leadership to project delivery teams.

Prior to Dynniq Peek Traffic, Graeme was associated with Indigo Telecom Group. Graeme held various roles during their tenure, including Clerk of Works and QA Team Lead from an unspecified start date to August 2014, Project Manager from November 2010 to August 2013, and Senior Engineer from May 2003 to November 2010.

Graeme also worked as an Indigo Telecom Communications Engineer at EADS (now Airbus) from an unspecified start date to 2010 on a contract basis. Graeme began their career at Bailey Telecommunications as a Communications Engineer from an unspecified start date to 2003. Before that, they worked as an Apprentice at Bailey Telecom Group from an unspecified start date to 2000.

Graeme Thompson's education history started in 1993 when they attended Bruntcliffe High School, where they completed their high school education from 1993 to 1997. Following this, in 1997, they enrolled at Leeds College of Technology, where they pursued an Advanced NVQ Level 3 in Telecommunications, completing the program in 2000.

In 2021, Graeme embarked on further education at Cranfield University, where they enrolled in the Project Leadership Programme. This program continued until 2022. At Cranfield University, they also obtained a certification in the Project Leadership Program in January 2022.

Graeme has also pursued additional certifications throughout their career. In January 2019, they became a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Professional through the Scrum Alliance D-A-CH e.V. In April 2019, they obtained certifications in Kanban Systems Design and Kanban Systems Improvement from Kanban University. More recently, in March 2022, they obtained the AgilePM® Practitioner certification from APMG International.
