Jacob Ayre has a diverse work experience history. In 2011, they started as a Senior Support Worker at Tracscare before moving on to roles such as Support Coordinator and Programme Leader at New Key Care Services. Jacob then worked as an Independent Advocate & Community Development Worker at POhWER and as a Registered Manager at Hft. In 2019, Jacob joined SWAN as an Area Manager and later became the Head of Services. Jacob is currently employed at Wesleyan as a Community and Citizenship Manager, responsible for managing the day-to-day activity of the Wesleyan Foundation and its strategy. Jacob is also a Trustee at Shropshire Peer Counselling and Advocacy Services (PCAS).

Jacob Ayre completed a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care from Q Training in 2017. In the same year, they also obtained a Level 3 Award in Education and Training from Train Aid. Earlier, from 2008 to 2011, they attended Dartington College of Art where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Writing with Visual Art.
