Olga Bookas has a strong background in procurement and purchasing. Olga began their career in 1977 as an Order Processor/Billing Clerk and International Sales Correspondent at Superior Electric Company. During their time there, they developed cost reduction and time-saving methods. From 1988 to 1995, Olga worked at Heublein Inc. where they served as an International Customer Service Leader, responsible for Smirnoff and Charcoal orders worldwide. At Associated Spring/Barnes Group, Olga was a Buyer from 1996 to 2001, where they executed contract agreements with suppliers and achieved significant savings through renegotiations and implementing national agreements. From 2001 to 2004, Olga worked as a Senior MRO Buyer at The Siemon Company, where they negotiated contracts and achieved over $1.5 million in savings and $200k in rebates. Lastly, Olga served as the Director of Purchasing & Procurement at Wesleyan University from 2005 until the present, where they have exceeded $33 million in cost savings and managed negotiations for major contracts campus-wide.
Olga Bookas pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the University of Saint Joseph during the period of 1996 to 2001.
