Peter Gottschalk

Peter Gottschalk is a Professor of Religion at Wesleyan University, a position held since July 2002, where Peter also served as former department chair. Prior to Wesleyan, Peter Gottschalk was an Assistant Professor of Religion at Southwestern University from July 1997 to June 2002, and held adjunct faculty roles at the University of Texas at Austin and Divinity School, Cambridge University. Peter Gottschalk earned a PhD in the History of Religions from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in South Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a B.A. in History from the College of the Holy Cross.
