Geraint Evans

Geraint Evans has over 30 years of work experience, starting with their role as a Systems Operator in the British Army from 1991 to 2000. Geraint then worked as a 2nd Line Optical Specialist at Nortel Networks from 2001 to 2003, followed by a position as an SDH/DWDM Project Engineer at ETT from 2003 to 2005. Geraint joined BT as a Project Consultant in 2005 before moving on to various roles at Urban Wimax, including Network Designer from 2006 to 2007, Head of Engineering from 2007 to 2010, and Technical Director from 2010 to 2011. Geraint then served as a Network Operations Manager at Excell Group from 2011 to 2012 and as a Pre Sales Manager at UK Broadband from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at Arqiva as an Engineering Manager for Networks and later as a Principal Technical Architect for Networks. Most recently, Geraint has taken on the role of Secure Network Architect at an undisclosed company from August 2021 to January 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technical Officer at Wessex Internet from December 2021 onwards. Throughout their career, Geraint has demonstrated expertise in network architecture, engineering management, and technical consulting.

Geraint Evans commenced their education in 1986 at Ysgol Bryn Offa. The degree obtained from this educational institution is unspecified. Later, from 1991 to 1993, they attended the Army Apprentices College, where they pursued a field of study in Telecommunications. Subsequently, in 1998, Geraint enrolled at the School of Signals to study Telecommunications Engineering & Management, completing their formal education the following year.
