James Govier

James Govier currently serves as Team Lead at Wessex Water since February 2023 and has extensive experience in the energy and engineering sectors. Prior roles include positions at convent energy GmbH and Siemens Gamesa, where James worked as a troubleshooter and technician for offshore wind turbines and held a leadership role. James has also worked with GE on wind turbine retrofits, Avon and Somerset Constabulary as a mobile mechanical vehicle technician, and Volkswagen Group UK Ltd as a master technician. James's career began with an apprenticeship at Huxtables Garage, following which a Bachelor of Technology degree in mechanical engineering and electronics was earned from Bridgwater & Taunton College. Additionally, military service was completed with the British Army as a Private in the Territorial Army.
