Kellie Balaam

Kellie Balaam is an experienced journalist currently working at The West Australian since April 2022, with prior roles at Albany Advertiser, Narrogin Observer, and Western Independent. Kellie has also served as a news reader for 100.9fm Noongar Radio and RTRFM 92.1, where responsibilities included writing and presenting news bulletins. In addition to journalism, Kellie held the position of Art & Film Editor at Grok Magazine, overseeing student work and fostering relationships with publicists. Kellie began the journey in journalism while studying at Curtin University, where a Bachelor of Arts—BA in Journalism was obtained, complemented by previous experience in customer service at Woolworths Supermarkets and a strong educational foundation from Carine Senior High School.
