Scott Houston

Scott Houston has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Scott is currently an elected member of the Board of Directors and serves as the President at West Basin Municipal Water District since 2014. In this role, they represent multiple cities and leads committees related to finance, administration, public information, and ethics.

Prior to their current position, Scott worked as a Client Relations Manager and Account Executive at Vision Envelope Los Angeles & Major Fulfillment from 2003 to 2017. Scott focused on expanding the sales and nurturing client relationships, ensuring top-notch customer service and maintaining high-quality production standards.

Scott also served as a board member of Tree Musketeers, a youth-led non-profit organization aiming to plant trees and provide leadership training for young individuals. Scott actively participated in fundraising activities, established relationships with community leaders, and contributed to Arbor Day events.

Additionally, Scott served as a member of the Capital Improvement Program Advisory Committee in the City of El Segundo from 2009 to 2013. Scott evaluated public works projects and advised the City Council on budget allocations, playing a key role in developing new evaluation criteria.

Earlier in their career, Scott worked as an Account Coordinator in the Technology Practice at Golin/Harris from 2000 to 2002.

Scott Houston attended Michigan Technological University from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Marketing. In 2003, they enrolled in the UCLA Extension and completed courses in television news writing and on-camera reporting.
