Mrs. Boyte earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies from LSUS in 2002 and completed teacher certification at LSUS in 2004. She taught in DeSoto Parish from 2002 to 2008 and joined West Carroll Parish Schools in 2008 as a teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School. In 2010, she returned to school at ULM and began working toward a master’s degree in educational leadership. When she finished her master’s in 2012, she accepted a position as assistant principal at Oak Grove Elementary. In the fall of 2015, she left Oak Grove Elementary to become the principal of Forest High School. Then she moved to the central office to become a supervisor in October of 2016. Since that time, she has served as the district human resource and talent pipeline supervisor and has supported the work and professional development of teachers and administrators across the district. Mrs. Boyte was appointed interim superintendent by the West Carroll Parish School Board in February of 2021.
