Gwenelle Styles O'Neal

Gwenelle Styles O'Neal is a retired Emerita Professor at West Chester University since July 2023, with a distinguished career in social work and community mental health. O'Neal served as the Director of Community Services at CAMcare Community Mental Health Center from September 1987 to September 1991, overseeing staff in consultation, training, community education, and program development. Previous roles include Program Associate at the Council on Social Work Education from 1979 to 1985 and Assistant Director of the Alcoholism Clinic at Belleview Psychiatric Hospital from May 1973 to September 1978. O'Neal holds a Doctorate in Social Welfare from Columbia University and a Master of Social Work from New York University School of Social Work, along with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Spanish from Spelman College.
