After graduating from high school, they enrolled in San Jose State University in 2008 and pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Radio, Film, and Television, which they completed in 2010.

In the same year, Lauren enrolled at the Academy of Art University and pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Motion Picture and Television, which they completed in 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, Lauren attended the New York Film Academy in 2008 for Intensive Film Study.

More recently, in 2022, they underwent training in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality at MIT xPRO. Lauren M also holds additional certifications, including Google Ads Essential Training and Quick Scripts for Difficult Conversations from LinkedIn, which they obtained in January 2023. Additionally, Lauren completed a certification in Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset from The Arbinger Institute in June 2021.
