Chance Bateman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in player development and community engagement within Australian Rules Football. Currently serving as the Indigenous Player Development Manager at West Coast Eagles since March 2022, Bateman has previously held positions including Aboriginal Participation Manager at Downer and Development Coach - Forwards & Indigenous Players Services at West Coast Eagles. Additional roles include Youth Employment Mentor at Wirrpanda Foundation and League Assistant Coach at Perth Football Club (Inc). Bateman's background also includes serving as a Recruitment Advisor for Indigenous Programs at Crown Resorts and Community Relations Advisor at Ngarda Civil & Mining, along with a successful career as a professional athlete at Hawthorn Football Club spanning over a decade.

West Coast Eagles
The West Coast Eagles Football Club formed in August, 1986, playing its first official match for premiership points against Richmond in 1987. Our women's side played its first game for AFLW premiership points in February 2020 against Collingwood. Since then, the club has enjoyed significant success , winning premierships in 1992, 1994, 2006 and 2018. Based at Mineral Resources Park in Lathlain, West Coast boasts a proud tradition of success on and off the field which can be attributed to its many loyal members and corporate partners.
