Teresa Thorp

Teresa Thorp is an accomplished Senior Policy Planner specializing in environmental sustainability, currently with the West Coast Regional Council since December 2020. With extensive experience in international trade and environmental policy, Teresa has held significant roles such as Manager Trade & Environmental Sustainability at Insight International and Manager Advocacy and Research for Caritas New Zealand. A proven leader, Teresa managed the Hub & Spokes Trade Unit at the Commonwealth Secretariat, facilitated climate change negotiations for the Government of Vanuatu, and has contributed to various initiatives aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
