Mohamad Kourghi

Mohamad Kourghi is a Professor of Physiology at West Coast University since August 2022, where lectures are delivered to future healthcare professionals, emphasizing the clarity and clinical relevance of complex physiological concepts. Previously, from February 2020 to May 2022, Kourghi held the position of Professor of Physiology at UCI Health and worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar, focusing on the development of pharmacological blockers for voltage-gated ion channels associated with cardiac arrhythmia utilizing techniques such as electrophysiology and molecular biology. Kourghi earned a PhD in Medicine from the University of Adelaide, where research was concentrated on aquaporin ion channels from January 2013 to March 2018.
