Benjamin Choat

Benjamin Choat, PhD, currently serves as a Staff Engineer at WEST Consultants, Inc. since January 2023 and has held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at CSU Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering since January 2017, focusing on the impact of urbanization and stormwater infiltration on subsurface water dynamics under the guidance of Dr. Aditi Bhaskar. Prior experience includes working as an Engineering Aid at USDA-ARS in 2016, where exposure to advanced agricultural techniques and hydrologic modeling was gained, and serving as Co-President of the Sustainable Remediation Forum at Colorado State University, enhancing student engagement in sustainability initiatives. Additionally, work as a Field Technician at the Ghalambor Lab provided valuable field experience in stream ecology. Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on Ecological Engineering from Colorado State University in 2016.
