Emy Flores Ed.d.

Emy Flores, Ed.D., currently serves as the Superintendent of West Covina Unified School District, a position held since January 2022, overseeing significant student support initiatives that led to a 99.2% graduation rate and the introduction of various enrichment programs. Previously, Emy held the Superintendent role at Evergreen School District from July 2019 to January 2022, where leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and financial challenges was showcased through the successful implementation of a budget stabilization plan. With a robust background in educational administration, including roles as Assistant Superintendent and Principal across several school districts, Emy has a proven track record in enhancing academic achievement, fostering strong labor-management relationships, and securing substantial funding for educational initiatives. Emy holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California, a Master of Education from California State University-Dominguez Hills, and a Bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara.
