Ben Staats

Ben Staats is a seasoned reliability manager with extensive experience in the solid wood and pulping sectors. At West Fraser, Staats has held key managerial roles, including Manager of Reliability Projects and Manager of the Pulping Group Reliability Program since November 2014. Prior experience includes serving as Plant Reliability Superintendent at Cariboo Pulp and Paper Company Limited from January 2002 to October 2014, where responsibilities encompassed leading reliability initiatives, developing strategies for mill asset longevity, and implementing various reliability methodologies such as Reliability Centered Maintenance and Root Cause Failure Analysis. Staats is known for strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective communication across organizational levels. Educationally, Staats holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria.
