Rashad Chowdhury

Rashad Chowdhury is currently the Team Manager and Director of UCL Racing’s Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Team at UCL Team Nova, overseeing various departments in the development of an autonomous VTOL and Quadcopter aircraft while also promoting STEM outreach and industry sponsorships. As a Propulsion Engineer, Rashad designed propeller mounts and developed a tail yaw control mechanism for vertical takeoffs. In addition to the managerial role, Rashad is a MechSpace Mentor and is involved in research projects focused on rotor testing and hydrodynamic cavitation. Prior experience includes serving as an Academy Steward at West Ham United FC and as an Academic Tutor at EasyA. Rashad is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at UCL, having completed A-Levels at Brampton Manor Academy and GCSEs at Stratford School Academy.
