Chris Piel

Chris Piel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Chris started their career as a Sports Reporting Intern at the East Valley Tribune in 2008 and went on to work as a Reporting Intern at College Times in 2009. Chris also served as a Research Aide/Copy Editor at Arizona State University in the same year. In 2010, they worked as a Research Fellow at Webbmedia Group, conducting research and writing a popular white paper. Chris then joined Phoenix New Times as a Contributing Writer from 2010 to 2013. In 2009, they joined Research Strategy Group at Arizona State University as a Research Analyst, where they supported strategic planning and wrote strategic reports. Chris also served as an English Professor at Universidad San Francisco de Quito in 2012, teaching English courses and developing teaching materials. In 2014, they worked as a PT Tech at Spooner Physical Therapy. Most recently, Chris Piel has been working at West Hawaii Community Health Center since 2018, starting as a Physician Assistant and currently serving as the Medical Director.

Chris Piel completed their education with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Physician Assistant from Yale University School of Medicine between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from Arizona State University from 2005 to 2009. Earlier in their education, they attended Brophy College Preparatory from 2001 to 2005, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
