Amy Sander Herr, PMP

Amy Sander Herr, PMP, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Amy currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at the American Society on Aging, where they support the improvement of the quality of life for older adults and their families. Prior to this, Amy worked at West Health as the Director of Health Policy, focusing on lowering healthcare costs and providing access to high-quality, affordable health services for seniors.

Amy also has significant experience with The Lewin Group, where they held multiple roles. As a Managing Consultant, they directed and managed large federal and state contracts, conducted qualitative and quantitative research, and provided training and technical assistance on various topics. As a Senior Consultant, they supported business development efforts and managed proposal development processes.

Before joining The Lewin Group, Amy worked as a Consultant and Research Consultant. Their responsibilities included analyzing state Medicaid programs and liaising between state Medicaid Directors and federal counterparts at CMS. Amy also coordinated state/federal technical advisory groups.

Additionally, Amy has experience working in the public sector. Amy served as an Associate at the American Public Human Services Association, where they analyzed legislation and developed policy responses related to state Medicaid programs. In the U.S. Senate, Amy worked as a Legislative Assistant and Virginia Projects Director, managing appropriations requests and representing the Senator's views to constituents and lobbyists.

Amy Sander Herr, PMP, obtained their MHS degree in Health Policy from The Johns Hopkins University from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at William & Mary from 1993 to 1997, majoring in Government. In addition to their educational background, Amy also holds the Project Management Professional certification, which they obtained in June 2015.
