Lea Selby

Lea Selby is an accomplished biologist currently serving as an Endangered Species Act Compliance specialist at Western EcoSystems Technology (WEST) since March 2024. Previously, Selby worked as a social science researcher at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), where collaboration with scientists and resource managers focused on coproduction efforts to enhance knowledge sharing. Selby has experience in public relations as a Public Relations Assistant for the National Park Service, designing programs and informational materials related to wild horse behavior. Additionally, Selby has held educational roles as a curriculum specialist focused on Afrotropical ecology at Duke University, a science teacher, and a summer camp educator, demonstrating a strong background in science education. Selby holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Secondary Science Education and Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
