Merilee Madera, Ed.D. has extensive experience in distance education, instructional design, and consulting/training. Merilee served as the Director of Distance Education, Adjunct Graduate Faculty, and Interim Director of Distance Education at West Liberty University. In addition, they founded Madera Consulting and Training in 1997, specializing in leadership development and training solutions. Their previous roles include Operations Manager at Community College of Beaver County, Director of Workforce & Community Education at Slippery Rock University, and Assistant Director at Washington & Jefferson College.

Merilee Madera, Ed.D., holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Duquesne University in Finance, obtained in 1994. Merilee later completed their Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University in Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship in 1997. In 2017, Merilee earned their Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership and Communication from Northeastern University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in areas such as Quality Matters and Biomedical Research.
