Christopher L. has extensive experience in law enforcement and emergency response, currently serving as a Police Search Advisor and CBRN Tactical Advisor for West Mercia Police since February 2021. Responsibilities include planning and executing specialist search operations for high-profile events and advising on security measures. Prior to this, Christopher led the training team at the National CBRN Centre within Counter Terrorism Policing from April 2017 to February 2021, enhancing the UK's emergency services response to CBRN threats. Christopher’s career began in the Metropolitan Police from 2003 to 2017, where roles included CBRN Specialist and Police Officer, focusing on hazardous scene management and evidence retrieval. Christopher also has military experience as a Combat Engineer in the British Army from 1994 to 2003, commanding engineering teams in various international operations. Education was completed at the Royal School of Military Engineering, further strengthening a robust skill set in emergency response and security operations.

West Mercia Police is the territorial police force responsible for policing the counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire (including Telford and Wrekin) and Worcestershire in England. The force area covers 2,868 square miles (7,430 km2) making it the fourth largest police area in England and Wales. The resident population of the area is 1.2 million. Whilst much of our area is rural, the conurbations we police include Hereford, Kidderminster, Shrewsbury, Telford, Redditch and Worcester. We tailor our policing to our communities, responding to issues that affect deprived urban areas as well as rural communities.
