West Michigan Teacher Collaborative
Mary Kay Murphy currently serves as the Interim Executive Director at the West Michigan Teacher Collaborative since January 2025. Previously, Mary Kay held key positions at Leading Educators, including Managing Director and Senior Director of Networks, where as the founding Program Director for the Greater Grand Rapids region, leadership was provided to a team of coaches supporting teacher leaders across multiple school districts. Mary Kay's extensive experience in education also includes roles at The Education Trust-Midwest as Assistant Director, at Partners in School Innovation as a School Innovation Partner, and various teaching and administrative positions at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Catholic School, Houghton Lake Community Schools, and Godwin Heights Public Schools. Mary Kay holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Valley State University and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Elementary Education from Aquinas College.
