Ben Avery

Ben Avery currently serves as the Head of Programme Management Office at West Midlands Trains, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Ben was the Finance Director at Abellio London from August 2022 to September 2023, and Financial Controller at East Midlands Railway from October 2020 to August 2022. Ben's career also includes key positions at ABELLIO SCOTRAIL LTD, where responsibilities included Lead Franchise Finance and Finance Business Partner from December 2017 to October 2020. Earlier experience includes serving as Portfolio Manager at Gerber, Landa & Gee from August 2010 to November 2017. Ben is a Chartered Accountant, having obtained the qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, and holds an AMCT Diploma from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
