Vanessa Grubbs, MD, MPH is currently the Director of Adult Medicine at West Oakland Health, where Vanessa serves as a Primary Care Physician. Vanessa is also the President and Founder of Black Doc Village and a Blog Contributor at California Health Care Foundation. With a background in nephrology, Vanessa has held positions as an Associate Professor at University of California, San Francisco and as the Director of the Renal Plus Clinic at SAN FRANCISCO GENERAL HOSPITAL. Dr. Grubbs holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Duke University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from University of California, Berkeley.
