Shawn Murphy

Shawn Murphy is an experienced healthcare professional with a diverse background in emergency medicine and leadership roles. Currently serving as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant at West Parry Sound Health Centre since December 2019, Shawn previously held positions including Clinical Care Coordinator at the same facility and Physician Assistant in the Critical Care Unit at North Bay Regional Health Centre. With a longstanding commitment to public service, Shawn has also been an Officer of Cadet Corps within the Canadian Forces Cadet Instructors Cadre since February 2017 and has a rich history in emergency services, including an Advanced Care Paramedic role with Toronto Paramedic Services and triage duties for the Public Health Agency of Canada. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's of Science in Physician Assistant from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Health Administration from Ryerson University, among other qualifications in health services management and paramedicine.
