Jordan Komoto, PHR, SHRM-CP

Jordan Komoto, PHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in human resources. They currently serve as the Director of People and Culture at West Paw, where they lead the HR team in creating programs that foster a positive culture and employee growth. Prior to this, Jordan held positions at Zoot Enterprises, first as the Vice President of Human Resources and then as the Director of Human Resources. In these roles, they were responsible for talent management, benefits and compensation, employee development, and employee relations. They also played a strategic role in aligning the needs of the business and its employees. Before joining Zoot Enterprises, Jordan worked at Ultra Electronics Group in multiple HR management roles, providing support in areas such as benefits and payroll management, learning and development, and business operations. Their earlier experiences include working as a Human Resources Generalist at Adaptive Materials, Inc. and as a Regional Trainer and Recruiter at Wells Fargo Financial. Jordan's professional journey began as the Student Body President at The College of Idaho, where they worked closely with various institutional committees and assisted with fundraising and recruitment efforts.

Jordan Komoto earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration from The College of Idaho, with concentrations in Accounting and Marketing and a minor in Sociology. Jordan completed their undergraduate degree from 2001 to 2005. They later pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, completing their studies between 2006 and 2008. Prior to their higher education, Jordan attended Ontario High School from 1998 to 2001. In terms of certifications, Jordan obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute in January 2011 and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in October 2015.
