Mitsi Gallardo

Mitsi Gallardo, MA, CRC, LPC, currently serves as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the Illinois Department of Human Services, with prior experience as a Recreation Lead at the West Suburban Special Recreation Association, where assistance is provided to individuals with disabilities in enjoying recreational activities. Mitsi's background includes roles such as Administrative Assistant at the Illinois Department of Public Health, Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling Intern, and various administrative positions spanning from 2010 to 2018. Mitsi holds a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from North Park University and an associate degree in Biology from Triton College.

West Suburban Special Recreation Association

The mission of the West Suburban Special Recreation Association is to provide superior recreation services for persons with disabilities. The West Suburban Special Recreation Association is formed by 9 park districts and 2 villages who work together to serve the recreation needs of their residents who have disabilities.Through WSSRA, residents of all ages can participate in year round programming specifically designed to meet their individual needs. Residents of partner communities who have a disability or handicapping condition are eligible for WSSRA services.
