Sujatha Venkatraman, MSW, has over two decades of experience in social work and community services. Currently serving as the Executive Director at West Valley Community Services since February 2008, Sujatha has also held positions such as Interim Executive Director and Associate Executive Director within the same organization. Prior to this, Sujatha worked as a Sr. Family Development Specialist at Little City Foundation, focusing on foster care, adoption licensing, and family assessment, and served as a Behavioral Specialist at United Cerebral Palsy of GA/SC. Additional experience includes working as a Family Therapist at Morningstar Treatment Services and as a Training and Research Coordinator at Alarippu. Sujatha holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from Delhi School of Social Work, a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Gargi College, and a Master’s in Psychology with a focus on Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology from the University of West Georgia.

West Valley Community Services Inc. (WVCS) is a private non-profit, community-based agency providing direct assistance and referral services to needy communities of Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, West San Jose and surrounding mountain regions, since 1973. WVCS provides a continuum of basic needs, family support services and housing services including: information and referrals, food pantry, clothing, homeless services, transitional housing, affordable housing, emergency financial assistance, family support programs, and case management services. Our mission is to unite the community to fight hunger and homelessness. This work is inspired by the vision of a community where every person has food on the table and every person has a roof over their head.
