Andreea Balan-Cohen

Andreea Balan-Cohen is a highly experienced professional in the field of healthcare evaluation and analytics, currently serving as Vice President & Portfolio Lead at Westat since July 2021. Prior to this role, Balan-Cohen held the position of Vice President for Payment Models and Quality Measurement at IMPAQ International from February 2019 to June 2021, and served as Quantitative Practice Lead at the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions between August 2015 and January 2019. Balan-Cohen has also worked as a Senior Health Economist at The World Bank, a Senior Associate in Life Sciences at Charles River Associates, and a Faculty Center Associate at the Davis Center at Harvard University. Academic contributions include serving as an Assistant Professor of Health Economics at Tufts University and a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies. Balan-Cohen holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
