Arun Duggal

Mr. Arun Duggal is an experienced international banker and has advised companies and financial institutions on Financial Strategy, M & A and Capital Raising. He is the Chairman of ICRA (A Subsidiary of Moody’s USA) and IIT Delhi Endowment Management Foundation (a section 8 company). He also serves on the board of directors of ITC Limited and Jubilant Pharma Limited, Singapore. Mr. Arun Duggal is a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad where he teaches a course on Venture Capital and Private Equity. Mr. Duggal has also been Chairman and on the Board of other companies in India and was on the Board of Directors of the companies in Korea, Australia, Singapore, London and South Africa. Mr. Duggal had a 26 years’ career with Bank of America, mostly in the U.S., Hong Kong and Japan. His last assignment was as Chief Executive of Bank of America in India.

Mr. Duggal is the founder of ‘Arun Duggal Center for Research in Climate change and Air Pollution’ at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. This Centre is engaged in several scientific research programmes to reduce air pollution in India. He is the founder of Women on Corporate Boards program in India under which high potential women are mentored individually by Corporate Leaders to prepare them for Board careers. Women from this program are serving on over 200 corporate Boards. Mr. Duggal is a Trustee of Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI). CMI is a Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Research in Mathematical Sciences. Mr. Duggal is the Founder of the recently established ESG Research Centre at IIM, Ahmedabad.

A Mechanical Engineer from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (recipient of Distinguished Alumni Service Award), Mr. Duggal holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (recipient of Distinguished Alumnus Award).
