Michael A. Coronado

CEO at WestCor Companies

Michael Coronado, CEO of WestCor Companies, founded the firm in 1989, responding to the residential boom in the Las Vegas area. He applied his vision and extensive construction experience to grow the company into multiple divisions — framing, concrete, and masonry — to meet the demands of the Southwest.

Hailing from Glendale, Arizona, Mike entered the industry right out of high school, beginning as a lumber salesperson and transitioning to an estimator. In 1987, he accepted an offer to launch a new division in the Las Vegas area for his then-employer.

After partnering with Jim Hammer and Westar Development in 1989 to establish WestCor, Mike later took over the helm in 1993, building the largest privately held framing company in Nevada. He eventually expanded operations to meet various facets of the industry with affiliates Coronado Concrete & Masonry and ACMP Services. His dedication to quality, integrity, and safety is evidenced throughout his 30-year career.
