Lauren Thompson

Lauren Thompson serves as the Internal Communications Manager at WestEd since October 2023. Prior to this role, Lauren worked at Amazon as an Internal Communications professional for AMXL from April 2022 to October 2023. Lauren's experience also includes serving as the Internal and External Communications Coordinator at Loudoun County Public Schools from August 2021 to April 2022, and as the Digital Communications Manager and Communications Specialist at Loudoun Water from November 2014 to July 2021. Earlier in Lauren's career, Lauren was a Public Relations Writer & Specialist at the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency from August 2012 to November 2014. Lauren holds an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications and a BSJ in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations, both from West Virginia University.
