Started in 1948, Westerly Community Credit Union (WCCU) has grown to a $400 million financial institution with over 22,000 members. Our members are served by 75 employees via 5 branches in Westerly, Richmond, South Kingstown & Coventry. 

Recent WCCU awards include Westerly Sun’s Readers’ Choice Best Credit Union (2022), Southern RI Chamber Choice Award Best Financial Institution & Best Financial Advisor (2022),  PBN Best Places to Work (2018, 2019, 2021 & 2022).
 
WCCU offers a full line of deposit & lending products at competitive rates with low-to-no fees. This includes a multitude of mortgage products and the best in high tech online services, such as: ITMS, online mortgage & loan applications, Free online & mobile banking with free bill pay, remote check deposit, eStatements, etc.. We are also proud of our free, unique program called Take the Challenge that helps identify your financial goals, reviews your credit report, and starts a plan to help you reach those goals- over 6,000 members have taken advantage of it to date.

Community involvement is, and always will be, a strong focus of WCCU.  Last year WCCU donated to over 100 local organizations, charities, and events. WCCU also supports local schools largely through our annual Basketball Tournament (solely sponsored since 1984), Teacher Grant Program, and financial literacy programs: Save for America School Savings program (elementary schools), the Everfi Online Financial Literacy Program, CU4Reality Financial Literacy Fairs, and the URI Money Basics. We are also proud of our WCCU Financial Education Center on our website and available for all ages
