Catherine Beck

Catherine (Katie) Beck currently serves as the Head of External Relations at the Western Academy of Beijing since August 2022. Prior to this role, Katie held various positions at the American Chamber of Commerce in China from July 2013 to July 2022, culminating in the role of Senior Director of Government Affairs and Policy. Katie's earlier experience includes working as a Program Assistant at the U.S.-China Policy Foundation and as a Research Assistant at the Global Resources Center at The George Washington University, among other roles in international relations and policy analysis. Katie holds a Master’s degree in Asian Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations/Asian Studies from Seton Hall University. Additionally, Katie studied at East China Normal University.
