Dave Bhagat

Dave Bhagat is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in foreign exchange trading and risk management. Currently serving as the Senior Managing Director and Head of the Global Markets Group at Western Alliance Bank since September 2021, Dave oversees foreign exchange trading, interest rate hedging, trade finance, and international correspondent banking. Prior to this role, Dave was the Managing Director and Head of FX & Rates Trading at Silicon Valley Bank from June 2005 to September 2021, where management of trading teams was a key responsibility. Earlier experience includes serving as Vice President at Chase Manhattan Bank, overseeing proprietary trading and managing the US Dollar OTC interest rate options desk, and as Managing Director at HSBC, where global responsibilities included USD derivatives sales and trading as well as asset-liability management. Dave holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School.
