Mieke Holkeboer

Mieke Holkeboer is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in affordable housing finance and municipal finance. Currently serving as a Senior Underwriter and Vice President at Western Alliance Bank since 2020, Mieke is responsible for structuring, negotiating, and closing affordable housing bonds and loans, while managing key relationships with external partners. Previously, Mieke held similar roles at Western Alliance Bank from 2015 to 2019, underwriting loans to nonprofit organizations and municipalities within a $1.5 billion bank-held portfolio. Mieke's previous experience includes serving as a Senior Research Analyst at Kayne Saybrook Municipal Opportunity Fund and various positions at Nuveen Investments focused on municipal bonds. Mieke holds a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Chicago and advanced degrees from the University of Cape Town, Yale University, and Wellesley College in related fields.
