Chris Bruce

Chris Bruce is a skilled technician with extensive experience in electrical systems and maintenance. Currently serving as a Journeyman Meter & Relay Technician at Western Area Power Administration since February 2021, Chris has completed a 2-year Craftsman-in-Training program and specializes in the maintenance, repair, and commissioning of substation equipment. Previous roles include electronic technician positions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Bureau of Reclamation, where Chris focused on troubleshooting complex systems and ensuring reliable control operations in hydroelectric facilities. Additional experience encompasses HVAC maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and leadership as a Mortar Squad Leader in the US Army. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticultural Science from Colorado State University and a Basic HVAC/R Certificate from Front Range Community College.
