Tina Ko

Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Western Area Power Administration

Tina Ko has extensive work experience in the power industry. Tina started their career in 2000 at the Bonneville Power Administration, where they held various roles, including Customer Account Executive and Economist/Financial Analyst. Tina then progressed to positions such as Manager of the Residential Exchange Program and Manager of Long Term Power Planning. From 2015 to 2017, Tina served as the Chief of Staff for Transmission Services and later became the Deputy Chief Operating Officer on an interim basis from 2017 to 2018. Tina then assumed the role of Vice President of Transmission Marketing & Sales until 2022 when they joined the Western Area Power Administration as the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

Tina Ko has a diverse educational background. Tina first pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at Willamette University from 1996 to 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, Tina continued their education at Willamette University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in 2001. After completing their formal education, Tina sought further professional development and enrolled in the American Leadership Forum Oregon program, Class XXX, from 2015 to 2017, earning the title of Senior Fellow. Additionally, in 2017, they attended the Utility Executive Course at the University of Idaho, further enhancing their knowledge and skills in the utility industry.
