Derek Fan

Derek Fan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in client service and marketing within the financial sector. Currently, Derek serves as the Head of US Institutional Client Service & Marketing at Western Asset Management since July 2010, while also holding the position of Head of Consultant Relations & OCIO at the Peters Pharis Foundation since March 2019. The foundation focuses on enhancing educational opportunities for high-performing students from low-income families. Prior to these roles, Derek was a Vice President at PIMCO and held board member responsibilities at D.A.R.E. America. Derek's early career included founding Study Solutions and working as a Senior Associate at Triage Consulting. Derek holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Psychology from UCLA.
