Director Of European And Middle East Business at Western Asset

Mike Zelouf has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Mike began their career as a Chemical Engineer at bp in September 1984 and worked there until April 1987. From May 1987 to October 1989, they worked as a Portfolio Manager at Fuji International Finance. Mike then joined Lehman Brothers Global Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager in October 1989 and remained there until February 1996.

In October 1989, Zelouf also started working at Western Asset Management, where they held various roles throughout their tenure. Mike initially served as a Portfolio Manager and later transitioned to the position of Director of European and Middle East Business. As the Managing Director of Western Asset Management Company Ltd, located in London, Zelouf chaired the board of directors and the London management committee. Mike was responsible for managing Western Asset's business in Europe, Middle East, and Africa, overseeing business operations and development in the EMEA region.

In November 2021, Zelouf took on a new role as a Board Trustee at Kidney Care UK.

Mike Zelouf's education history begins in 1981 when they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. Then, in 1987-1988, they attended London Business School and completed the Investment Management Programme. After that, from 1992-1994, they obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from AIMR. Moving forward, in 2012-2013, they earned a Master's Degree in Non-Executive Director diploma from Financial Times. Lastly, in 2021, Mike attended CFA UK and completed a Certificate in Environmental, Social and Governance Investing.
