Kyle Grooms serves as the Associate Commissioner for Football and Sport Administration at the Western Athletic Conference since February 2022 and as Chief Operating Officer for the United Athletic Conference since February 2024. Previously, Kyle held roles at The University of Tulsa from July 2011 to February 2022, including Associate AD for Internal Operations and Director of Football Operations, where responsibilities included managing the football operating budget, coordinating logistics for team travel, and supporting coaching staff. Experience also includes a position as Sales Account Executive at Caption Colorado LLC, focusing on closed captioning services for television and education markets, and a role as Graduate Assistant for Administration, Operations, and Event Management at The University of Tulsa. Kyle holds a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from The University of Tulsa.

The WAC is an NCAA Division I conference comprised of 11 schools, located in Arlington, TX. Member institutions include Abilene Christian University, California Baptist University, Grand Canyon University, Seattle University, Southern Utah University, Stephen F. Austin State University, Tarleton State University, The University of Texas at Arlington, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Utah Tech University and Utah Valley University. The WAC crowns team and individual champions in 19 sports – 9 men’s and 10 women’s.
