Kate McCarthy

Kate McCarthy is a football manager specializing in girls' football and inclusion at the Yarra Junior Football League since October 2023. Currently, Kate also serves as an assistant coach for the AFLW at the Western Bulldogs and holds roles as a commentator and presenter at Southern Cross Austereo. Previously, Kate worked as a well-being coordinator for the AFL and a teacher at St. Joseph's Flexible Learning Centre, alongside content production and professional athletic roles at St Kilda Football Club and the Brisbane Lions. With a Bachelor's degree in Education from Queensland University of Technology, Kate has extensive experience in teaching and coaching, including a prior position as a coach recruiter for PlayBook Australia and secondary mathematics and health and physical education teacher at Clairvaux MacKillop College.
