Marcus Abney-Hastings

Assistant Coach - AFL Womens at Western Bulldogs

Marcus Abney-Hastings serves as the Campus Principal at The Lakes South Morang College since 2012, where previous roles include Assistant Principal and Teacher. In addition to the educational role, Marcus has extensive experience in Australian rules football coaching, currently holding the position of Assistant Coach for the AFL Women's team at Western Bulldogs since November 2020. Previous coaching roles include Assistant Coach for the Vic Metro AFLW U18 National Championships from 2018 to 2020, and Head Coach of the NAB League Girls at Northern Knights from 2016 to 2020. Additional coaching stint highlights include positions with AFL Victoria, Coburg Football Club, Old Geelong Football Club, and Calder Cannons, contributing to various development pathways in AFL. Education was pursued at La Trobe University and Charles Sturt University.
