Erin R. Eldridge

Erin R. Eldridge, PhD, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Emergency and Disaster Management at Western Carolina University since July 2025. Previously, Erin held positions at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from August 2019 to June 2025 as an Assistant Teaching Professor and Lecturer in Anthropology. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Fayetteville State University (July 2015 - June 2019) and as adjunct faculty at Queens University of Charlotte (June 2015 - August 2015). Early career roles included part-time lecturer and graduate assistant positions at the University of Tennessee, where Erin contributed to various courses and academic advising. Erin's educational background consists of a PhD and Master's in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, along with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Tennessee Technological University.
