Kim K. Winter

Kim K. Winter serves as the Dean and Professor of the College of Education & Allied Professions at Western Carolina University since June 2012, having previously held the position of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Texas at Arlington from August 2005 to May 2012, and as Assistant and Associate Professor at Georgia Southern University from July 1999 to July 2005. Kim K. Winter holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on English, as well as a Master of Education in the same field, both from Indiana State University. Undergraduate education was completed at The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development.
