Mark Morgan

Mark Morgan, PhD, is a seasoned expert in hazard mitigation and emergency management with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as a Hazard Mitigation Scientist and Team Lead at Sawdey Solution Services since October 2021, Mark also holds the position of Adjunct Professor in the Emergency and Disaster Management program at Western Carolina University since September 2015. Past roles include Hazard Mitigation Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton and Engility Corporation, and a Senior Risk Consultant at CSC, providing consulting support to various governmental agencies. Mark's career began as a Chemical Officer in the US Army and has since spanned over two decades in crisis management and consulting, including significant contributions to national security and infrastructure protection programs. Mark earned a PhD in Public Safety and Emergency Management from Capella University and holds a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
