Andre Chan

Andre Chan is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in leading engineering roles, notably as a Senior Engineer/Scientist at Hitachi Global Storage Technologies from 2003 to 2012 and as a Senior Principal Engineer at HGST from 2012 to 2015. Prior to these positions, they served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Quantum and Maxtor, and had earlier roles at IBM and as a Co-op Mechanical Engineer. Currently, Andre is a Distinguished Engineer at Western Digital, while pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics at Santa Clara University and Stanford University, respectively. They also hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
